This blog is on meditation. The first 10 meditations are basicly for stress management. The next group of meditations will help you to accelerate the healing process and manage pain. The 3rd group of meditations are what I call 'Escape meditations". Which you can use to imagine yourself in a peaceful place. Which is very useful if you're in pain or stressed out. And the last group of meditations will help you to prepare for and recover from surgery if this happens.

Sat Nam everyone! I thought I'd take a break from offering any meditations @ this time & simply share some insights into my own meditation practice. So without further delay here we go!
Now as far as the Lovingkindness meditation is concerned I do it a little differently. If I were to do this meditation 1st for myself, then for my loved ones & then for people that I might be judgemental toward or who might be that way toward me, I would be up all friggen night! So what I do after I go through my prayer list is I put everyone together (myself included) & say, "May everybody be at peace, may our hearts remain open, may we awaken to the light of our own true nature, may we be healed, & may we be a source of healing for all other beings." After that, I go through the prayer for closing the chakras or energy centers.
Now as far as this goes I do it a little differently too. Since I'm a 7th Day Adventist & the origional version is a little too weird for me, I've turned it into a prayer of thanksgiving using the 7 chakras. If I were to do this in the AM I would work my way from the root chakra on up. But since I do this one also before bed, I work my way from the crown chakra on down. just like I've learned it on the guided meditation CD Guided Meditations for Morning & Evening by Dr. Caroline Myss. Here's how it goes: Crown Chakra: colors white, violet, silver, & gold Prayer: Thank you God that I don't have your job because I sure as heck don't want it.
3rd eye point: colors indigo & deep violet prayer: Thank you God for discernment, instincts, intuition, knowledge & wisdom.
Throat Chakra Color: blue Prayer: Thank you God for clarity of expression & for showing me how & when to speak the truth in love.
Heart Chakra Color: Green Prayer: Thank you God for your unconditional love toward me & for showing me how to extend that to others even though I want to kill them.
Navel Point/Solar Plexus Chakra Color: Yellow Prayer: Thy will be done.
Lower Abdomen Chakra: Color Orange Prayer: Thank you God for helping me to keep my hormones balanced (in more ways than one)! & for that creative birthing energy.
Root Chakra Color: Red Prayer Thank you God for grounding me to earth & connectiong me with nature. Sometines after I go through each chakra I like to chant the mantra Sat Nam which means "God is Truth".
Now as far as the Invocation of the angels meditation is concerned I also do this one a little differently. I ask God to place each of the Arch Angels in the 4 directions instead of doing this myself (which I also find this a little strange). For example I ask God to place Uriel in front of me & ask God for clarity, direction, & guidence (both for myself & everyone else on my prayer list) sssssssssssssssssswith Uriel's help. Then I ask God to place Michel at my right & if there are any areas in my life (or anybody elses for that matter) that need forgiveness, love or mercy, I ask God to provide it with Michel's help. Next I ask God to place Rapheal behind me, & I pray that if there are any areas in my life or anyone else's life that need healing I pray that God would heal those areas with Rapheal's help. & last I ask God to place Gabriel at my left & I pray that God would give me & everyone else on my prayer list strength because we all need it. Also if I know that someone is in trouble or going to be on the road I ask God to station gaurdian & warring angels around that person or those people. I hope that you find this to be helpful & inspiring. Until next time Sat Nam,
Dana Morgan a.k.a. Amrita Kaur
